Animal Cruelty

For some reason I thought pretty much everyone had the same opinion on this but today I found out differently.what punishment do you think is going too far with an animal?

What exactly do you mean by punishment? Punishment to animals or to the people that are cruel to them?

I don't know, I smack my dog, but its mainly out of frustration and I know I shouldn't and I don't like that I do it. But she's pure muscle, so I don't think it hurts her. She's probably stronger than I am... no wait, she IS stronger than I am. But that is no excuse. She is just such a big stupid brute, I don't know what to do with her!
