Aloe for cold sores...

I don't know how many of you all suffer from cold sores - but I certainly do. I wanted to share a little something I found out a few years ago. Aloe works better on cold sores/fever blisters than ANYTHING I've ever tried (including abvera and dentist prescribed medicine). As long as it's 100% aloe - doesn't matter if it's the plant (which tastes nasty by the way) or bought from a store in a bottle(just make sure it's clear and the first ingredent listed on the bottle is aloe). Just put the aloe on the cold sore at least 3 - 4 times a day (I usually try to do it every few hours) until it's gone then it will heal in at least half the time it would if you used abvera, ect. Instead of up to four weeks or more with it - it's more like a week or less. I found out in one of my herbal books that aloe kills the herpes virus which is what cause the cold sores. If you feel one coming on - put some aloe on it and 9 times out of 10 it won't come up. Aloe has many more healing properties than many people are even aware of. I joked once that if I ever got cancer I was going to have my doc open me up and poor some aloe on it (because I use it for everything and anything). Then I read that taking Aloe supplements on & off (cause you're not suppose to take them for more than 2 weeks at a time) it may reduce the risk of developing cancer!

I've never tried aloe, but since I've been taking Neurobion (basically B vitamins) daily, I haven't had cold sores. This has been the case for more than a year now. And I use to have cold sores frequently.
