Yes he does! I'm not sure if it's because we both lived out on our own before we met or not, but he helps with everything. He is the primary cook in the house, as he's better at it than I am. He helps with the laundry, but won't fold. He vaccuums the floors all the time too. I rarely have to ask him to do any chores. When I do ask, it's because I can't do it because my back is acting up that day and it needs to get done.

My husband definitely does. He not only does housework, he'll go shopping and do the laundry. We live in an apartment and not allowed to have a washer and dryer so he goes to the laundramat and does it. Like your husband I have never had to ask for help, he just does it. I'm very lucky to have him.

I ain't letting my wife anywhere near this discussion.
I don't help with the house work much but I never did, even before my heart attack. I was the one that worked outside and my wife works inside. But then we bought our new house and now she likes to be outside in our new yard as much as I do.
Due to heart damage I can't do much of anything anymore so my wife does almost everything and I just feel guilty and useless, but...
...I can do my online business for the first few hours of the day before my energy reserves are gone for that day and that earns us the money we need to live the life style we choose, so hopefully that balances it out a bit.
She even has to mow the lawn and shovel the snow now that I can no longer do that.
So I say hats off to my wife for being the person she is.

I post my idea as what I have posted in your another discussion:
Well, I think this phenomenon is quite normal, though I am not in that situation. I am not married yet, but I live with my girlfriend; we do the housework together, and we go out to work together.
Many ppl are arguing that man and woman should be equale! so it is the same for a man to stay at home to do all the housework and the woman go out to earn a living. And as what is in my mind, the man can also earn money at home, just like we are earning money when we post on mylot.

Good for you! Mine does too and it's such a blessing. He will clean the kitchen every Sunday for me. He will also clean the living room, or the kids bedroom if I haven't gotten to it on Saturday. I absolutely love it! Cheers to you men that help!

My husband helps when he can, I suppose. Sometimes I feel like he does it out of guilt, because he knows I'm tired of being the one who always does it. He also helps when his parents are coming over (every few months or so). I think mostly he just doesn't think about it, unless I point it out to him, or unless he sees I'm just too tired to take care of it myself, and am getting lazy. LOL

I'm like you. I married very well. My husband would clean till he's blue in the face if he could. But when you have our little zoo as we do, then it's a little hard. But I do love him even more for making my life so much easier. He's a great man.
