Sorry that you feel lousy :( Tylenol or something similar that you normally take. Do you only have a sore throat? or do you have a cold with it? If you have a stuffy nose, Afrin spray has been a life saver for me. I would get some thrat drops to keep your throat moist and drink either nice hot drinks or really icey cold ones. I hope you don't have to stay at work all day. Maybe you can stay home and rest in bed tomorrow :(

Are there any other responsibilities at your job that you can do til your throat is better? At my previous jobs if I was not able to talk well, they would have me work on other assignments that did not involve phone or much talking. Hopefully this is a possibility so you can give your throat a rest. You could also drink some hot tea or take some over the counter medication to help you get through the day.

My mom always makes a drink with lemon and water. She swears by this and does it all the time when she's sick. Good luck and I hope you feel better soon.

If you have to work, please work on soar throat. I do not have any herbal remedies, unfortunately. So see a physician.

Gargling with salty water does help. Lemon juice and spoonful of honey with hot water added is also very good to sip. Honey is a natural antibacterial and I believe that the lemon juice helps by making the environment too acid for the bacteria. Of course, this assumes that it IS a bacterial infection. Most colds are viral infections and one can only let the body deal with it while helping he headache with Tylenol. Honey and lemon do have a soothing effect as well, though, so they are still good.

First thing is do gargle with lukewarm water with salt in it. Second make yourself a tea with either ocimum leaves in it, or zinger in it.

The older folks I know always mentions salt and warm water..but wouldn't that burn your throat if it's raw? I am afraid because of that..since when you put salt into your wounds..it burn..I like the hot tea and honey remedy...I dont have honey but do have tea:)+
