Are there any authentic data entry jobs?

I have come across a lot of these data entry jobs on the internet but none of them seem to be authentic. I was wondering if any one here knows of data entry job offers without any investment and where they actually pay

Yes! All those offers ask for money first before they give work or details of where the job is available (probably a list of web sites). I strictly follow the rule - never pay money to any website that is not properly verified - things like being "verisign secured" "BBB registered" etc. Going by this rule I have compiled a small list of sites that are free to sign up and offer to pay for referrals and others.
