i do believe that Gandhian principles are possible to follow. But one must have very strong will to be able do so. Non voiolence principles are not only in action but also in your thinking also. Can u just stop hating someone u have disliked...the real meaning of non voiolence is when u can kill that emotion of hate from your hearts....and start loving every creature created by god.

Yes it is possible to some extend. But to be true gandhian u must have a very hard training, which most of us dont prefer to.

i think most indians wanted him as a leader to achieve the goal i.e.,independence... only some followed his principles in their personal life

I've always loved this man! Since my childhood days when we were taught lessons in school about the greatness of Mahatma Gandhi, to the latest venture named " Lage raho Munnabhai ," I've always been a die-hard admirer of this man! In today's scenario, i still think his preachings & principles are very much relavant. His teachings of Non-Violence hold completely true still today. If probably we start practising it, there will be a lot less wars that neighbouring countries are constantly engrossed in. And the best way to implement has been very clearly shown in the movie iv mentioned above!
