War protestors were allowed to spray paint the steps of the Capitol building!

I can't believe this! And I never heard it in the news! The police stood back and let protestors use spray paint and paint graffiti and protests on the steps of the capitol. The police said they were there to protect the building, but were not going to interfere in the protestors "first ammendment rights"! What in the world! This was from an email sent to me from the American Family Association. You can read about it on their web page.

This was quite shocking to hear and did check out the link that you included. I am surprised that the officers would allow them to spray paint the Capitol for any reason. That should not have been permitted in any way. It makes you wonder about our law enforcement agency and government. I wonder if the police will be held accountable in any way for this behavior.

It almost sounds as if the police were siding with the protestors, doesn't it? That is still no excuse. The capitol building belongs to all of us...it is a symbol of our country! What does it say about us to deface it?

Oh my! How did they get by with this? I never heard about it either. they have no right to do that and the police should loose their job over this for not keeping the protesters from defacing public property. This is just terrible. What is happening to this country?

Due to the fact that the spray paint can be cleaned up and they were not harming anyone, I don't why the police would stop the protestors.

By any definition...it was vandalism. Any one of us would have been arrested! Sounds totally wrong to me!

I guess that shows even the law sees how wrong this war is and they are allowing people to express it anyway they can.
