What's With Someone Making a Post And Cannot Back It Up?

I often see postings, and comments. Many of these comments seem to have no grounds. No validity. Do you get annoyed with simple, ignorant, responses? Do you think if someone takes the time to post a response, they should use a little sense and education into what their response/answer is? (Maybe I'm just too easily annoyed)

In all honesty I am exactly the same with people who do that. Especially those who answer discussions they know nothing about. I have reported people for coming into my discussions and just for the sake of posting a comment put things like 'sorry i don't know' i hate people like that and I get easily annoyed too...I understnad people may not know about the things I talk about or may not be able to speak english as well as me but if they cant i dont mind it sounding a bit like gobbledegook but at least they can try but some people dont even try. Hope this answers your question right. Ill admit sometimes i tend to ramble on a bit lol

Rambling is fine; I do it too. Yes, there's no problem w/people who don't speak English well, but at least try to make it sound best as possible. But, I think people wast our, and MyLot's time when, as you said, they just respond with an "I don't know".

I've seen my share of those as well. Ones who state things that they have heard about and they don't have all the facts or even if they have some facts they use them to make unreasonable claims. It does get very irritating. One should use a little common sense and at least be able to back up their position with far more then "Well I said so or that is what I was told."

Yes, I agree. I also find it annoying to people who spam, or copy and paste, information that may pertain to a word, or group of words in a posting, yet have nothing to do with the main question and/or discussion.

I know I also find it very frustrating when you create a discussion and then get nonsense replies in it. One of my first discussion here someone just posted "Hi". What the heck is that???

"Hi" is just a waste of our time. That's for sure. I would put no thought into rating postings like that as "negative".

Yes I see this all too often myself. I think it's due to people wanting to make money and they don't really care if they have anything to offer. Some just go around posting stupid coomments throughout the site. I don't think they get paid for those type of responses but it doesn't seem to stop them. I don't know why people bother if they don't have something to offer then go somewhere else. I can't stand it when people write things like "ya gud", "I think so too", or here's a really helpful reply..."have a nice day" Oh thank you very much...lol I try not to let it bother me. I use discussions like this one to vent a little and then I feel better. I have no idea how to stop it, but I do know what you mean.

Oh, venting is great. I like to do that, here, too. I try to rate horrible answers as negative anymore. I don't know what that means to the officials at MyLot, but it makes me feel better.
