American Airlines saved $40,000 in 1987 by eliminating one olive from each salad served in first-class.

i do like olives,yes but if american airlines will be cheaper if they let the olives out of the salad. that is fine with me. i live in europe.lol

I do not like olives, but my husband and two of my children love them. My children get more excited about eating black olives than about eating candy. My youngest does not seem to have a taste for them yet.

None of you like olives? Give them all to me! I love olives. Green ones, black ones, pitted or not. Yum yum!

I do not like olives so I would not ahve them on or in anything. I can see how the savings would add up. Not everyone eats them and the ones that don't would be wasted. I imagine the salad will taste just as good without them...or better. :) Olives are not cheap especially in that quantity.

I don't like olives, so I think they should save even more and take them out completely and reduce the cost of air travel for everyone else.

Well, I bet they have saved alot of money after that. I don't like olives on my salad, but I eat them with other meals.
