have you heard of aveda? They're known for their hair care, as well as skin and body care. If you use this brand, what are you favorite products? Also, do you have any tips or tricks to using the styling products that you came up with?

I have heard of Aveda, but i've never actually used their products becuase they are not eay to get hold of in the UK, and are expensive. I know that they do natrual hair care and such like, but i don't know that much about them. Can you tell me more about the compayy, like what's their stance on animal testing?

The http://www.aveda.com web site has a mission statement that might answer your questions.

I love Aveda. I pretty much only get my hair cut at Aveda salons these days. And I've had three facials done that worked really well for my skin. I have thick curly hair and I use Be Curly- Curl Control- It says to use it on dry hair but I haven't figured out how to do that without making a mess out of my hair. So I use it when my hair is damp and it works well.I just use a defuser when blow drying it. I also use their Sap Moss conditioner and Brilliant Shampoo. I also like the herbal scent of the Hand Relief cream.

I can't get ENOUGH of Aveda products.. When it comes to personal care I refuse to buy anything else. I truely believe it's worth the bit of extra money you spend. There's some things you just shouldn't skimp on & that's definitely one of them!!

I have heard of Aveda for a long time and I tried their star products - the damage remedy line. But I don't think they're as promising for me as the rave comments. I found that my hair lack volume when I use this line and I don't see major improvement to my hair. So I don't think I will purchase the brand again with the consideration in price.

the damage remedy line is great, but I would have never expected my hair to have volume after using it. No where on the packaging does it say that it delivers volume, plus since its such a moisturizing and repairing shampoo and conditioner line it really wouldn't give any volume, since it delivers so much moisture. That line was designed to give moisture and help repair and prevent damage to your hair, not to deliver volume. If your hair is finer, the damage remedy line would have weighed down you hair (therefore not giving volume) because it would have been to heavy for your hair. I wouldn't judge the whole line of products because you didn't use the appropriate product for the results you were looking for.

I love Aveda hair products. I use the Damage Remedy line. I also use Hang Straight and the Elixer. Their skin care products, not so much. I never saw significant results.

Before I hacked all my hair off (I used to have crazy curly hair past my shoulders) I used Aveda hair care products. I really liked their Sap Moss Shampoo and Conditioner. It had a really unique earthy, herbal scent that I enjoyed and it moisturized my hair without weighing it down. I also used the Be Curly styling product which worked wonders on controlling my frizzies without making my hair look overly styled. Now I just use their hand therapy lotion every now and then.

I really love their Rosemary Mint shampoo and conditioner for my fine hair that is easily weighed down by excess moisturizer, their Rosemary Mint body bar, their foot relief lotion, their hand relief lotion, and their licorice tea. I have yet to try their other products. I am new to Aveda. I just got my hair cut a week or so ago at an Aveda salon, and I am always getting compliments on how good it looks, way more compliments than I ever got at other salons! I just signed up for their Pure Privilege rewards program yesterday (Friday).
