the number of responses you recieve on myLot

I think to certain extent your Avtar may paly role in getting response to your discussion.Well an attractive Avtar can draw anyones attention easily, but then does it make one respond to your discussion or not is is a subject of debate! I think people want to avoid serious types of discussion and they are readily participating in the simple discussions where they really need not use much of the grey matter. They avoid the topics or discussions which require a great deal of research. Our Community is a mixture of all types of members .Some are real intelligent, intellectuals while others are easy going type. Age wise also you can see a great variation. Thus the response to your discussion will depends upon the nature of your discussion. If you target young generation and start a discussion of theur interest I am sure you are bound to get lot of responses.Discussions which don't require a lengthy responses also tend to get good responses. But ultimately by getting such responses without any concrerte or constructive purpose, will it serve the purpose of Mylot Community, I doubt! I have seen members are participating with zeal and enthusism, if some one is need of genuine personal advice! Thus if you want to get any advise on any of your personal problems, then this is one of the way you can get the responses. I personally myself look at the type of discussion and I see to it that , if I can really contribute anything to that member by my participation! Avtar hardly matters for me! Another way of getting good responses is to make friends in Mylot and participate in their discussions to have them participate in your discussions, Initially you may not get responses from all of your friends whom you have responded, but if you repeatedly post your discussions then, I can assure you that you will also get responses to your discussions from them! Contacting your friends by sending private messages to them to participate in your discussions can also be another way! Well would you respond to my Avtar at first look ? Keep on trying by posting or initiating some interesting postings. I am sure you are going to get success if not today , then may be tomorrow! Slow and steady wins the race!
