I was raised in a commercial area wherein not distance away is a a community living behind poverty line. One summer I talked with some of my young proffesional friends to organize a free tutorial lesson to all the children every weekend so we can help them in our own little way. Have you ever made a move to help your community?

I do my fare share of recycling in our home. For about two years now, I encouraged my family members to segregate garbage in our home. The junk shop has been my "bestfriend" because every two weeks I sell the stuff we have gathered. This means that we only give the garbage truck what is due to them - the real garbage. If only households would practice segregating their trash, the metro would be relieved of a great deal of pollution.

You are not just helping environment, and your community but also generate extra income from it. I do hope all members of our community know the importance of segragation. Kudos hartnsoul!

I have not done anything but I have a dream... one day i am gonna make a home for children living in street.. give them education, good life... one day i will surely do that, I know how its feel to be alone in this world without anyone to look at, specially when you are children.

I haven't done a whole lot for my community but I try to give to as many charities as I can. Whenever there is a drive for clothes, I go through my closets and give them to the charity so they can sell them for money. The other day a young girl got sent home from school cause she wasn't wearing a jacket. Her parents weren't home, so I looked through the closets and found one. It was too big but at least she had a jacket. I told her to keep it. I was leaving to go out the other day and she sang out to me to tell me thank you her brother loved the jacket and it fit. That made me feel good too.

Giving to some charities is really a big help to those who really need them no matter how big or small your donation will be. You are indeed a good hearted person there is a room for everybody in your heart.

Hello again maribel, I can tell by your posts that you are a very kind and caring person. When I first came to Thailand I stayed in a small village where the residents were very poor. For as long as I was there I gave free English lessons to the children. My reward was written all over the faces of the all those chikdren.

Hi there mipen! Thanks for the compliment (It really made me blush LoL!). I think you deserve the credit rather than I do, you really not very well known in the whole world but you made a difference in every thailand kid you help. I admire you sir mipen!
