Earn money at home - How to get 'real' affiliates?

Hello everyone, I would like to start to get my home business known. I have tried different ways to find people that are 'truly' interested in earning money, and I must say I am very disappointed in all the programs that give you free links and stuff! Even the free classified ads do not work for me at all, because everyone that is placing ads there is looking for the same thing like I am - New customers. Please, can you tell me something that really works with advertising or making a business known, without spending money for it? I don't know what to do anymore. For months I am looking around, but most of the people that ever visited my page are were from linktraffic pages and are not interested in my offers at all. Who can offer me some good advise to this?
