Naughty son! how to manage?

My two and a half year old son is very naughty and he is ferocious many times that he throws whatever he finds at his hands on evrybody. Also in restaurants and in other public places I feel very difficult to manage him. He throws everything from the table and at times he bites some kids while playing in the play area. When we both r only there at home he would listen to me, but when guests are there he is very aggressive. How to react to this kind of action? or how to manage at public places? Pls.. help
