And everyone is asking her whether it was a racist comment so that then they'll all feel entitled to label the Brits and their establishment as racist and consequently much crucifixion may be publicly done... But IF we were to handle this with any common sense, shouldn't we first: 1) Look up in the Oxford Dictionary what the word "Racist" really means in the English language. 2) Look up what a "Poppadom" really is and where they eat it. 3) Make up our own minds, according to our own reasoning capabilities (or inferiority complexes/lack of sense of humour) ????? I understand that many people will have already made up their own minds about this post and so be it, each one of us is blessed by their own opinion to which they get at via their own thought processes, but let me perhaps surprise a few these by revealing myself as ITALIAN living in Britain. I am not a Brit, and as a fair man I do not feel like I have to side by Italians either, preferring to side with what I think is FAIR, regarding where I come from. Over the course of 20 years living abroad I have been called many things myself and the reference to "SPAGHETTI" (especially by German Krauts) has often been there, yet I see nothing wrong with it in fact in case anyone still didn't get it, in Italy we DEVOUR much spaghetti and we are very proud of it. I have yet to see a German person label me as a "racist" for calling them KRAUTS, nor will you see a frenchman get upset for being called a FROG. So, at least in my opinion the over reacting displayed by many Indian people is perhaps a sign of insecurity? After all how can anyone ever label the Brits as racists when the UK is the readiest country of the world to give asylum and citizenship and social security to so many non Europeans with often countless offsprings on tow? In the end, the real "racists" are they not the ones who expect to judge (and hate as a consequence of their judging) a whole nation, in this case a very hospital one on one single "poppodum" comment, uttered by a person?? Go on, call me "Spaghetti", I have no chip on my shoulder, and yes, the biggest human cancer: Mafia comes from the south of Italy too, nobody should ever be called a racist for stating a fact, so be fair or when you will really need it, help might not come.

Yeh I think people are way too sensitive about the racism issue, we Aussies get called a lot of names, skippy, whiteys, ockers, and a few I couldn't put on here but one can't be sensitive about it in fact out here we class it as a term a endearment, I wish people would stop with taking every little thing to heart...
