I wish I know more about spices so I can use them in my cooking too, besides salt and pepper, that is.
Sometimes when I read a recipe I don't recognise the spice they mentioned and I can't use it. It's kind of disappointing when that happens.

To be honest I do not think I use Pepper on any food at all. I rarely even use salt but I cannot think of one thing that I do put Pepper on. This will give me something to really think about now.

I think pepper is one of those things which if you've never used it, you won't miss it. For me, I learned from my mom and I grew to like the taste of it so I continued to use it in my dishes now.

Probably the fresh peppers are more nutritional, but I do not really eat much of it because of the taste.

I don't use much pepper. Sometimes my husband does, but we rarely use black pepper. We tend to use other spices like cilantro, tamarind, saffron, ginger, dill and many ther spices. BUt peppers we don't use much at all. And don't even ask me about salt - I avoid it at all costs.

Not really. I'm still doing a lot of experimenting, and so I've been adding things like bay leaves to a lot of my cooking. I haven't really gotten to pepper yet. I don't want to add everything in my cupboard, because then I won't know how it changes the flavour, so I'm kind of adding one new thing at a time and seeing if I like it.

almost all foods. from pizza to pasta.. to cooking & frying foods.. it adds flavor to the food :)

I love all kinds of peppers in my food. It's particularly delcious with meats and marination of meat. But my favourite is black pepper in my oxtail soup!!! It gives it a little extra something... a wee bit of a kick from the ox I like to think. hehe.
