Why do vegetarians think meats the only in-humane thing to eat???/

Vegetarians choose not to eat meat and to stick with vegetables and so on. Well plants need the same things that animals do. They need sunlight, water, soil and need to be sheltered by larger trees. When you pick a flower and tear it apart does it not bleed?? It may not be red blood but it does let out gooey white stuff, does it not? So whats the difference? The only thing a plant can't do is cry...
