When you dream do you dream in color or in black and white? I read somewhere one time that the majority of people dream in black and white, I didn't know for sure which I dreamt in but after trying to keep track of my dreams for quite some time, I know now that it is in color. What do you suppose determines whether we dream in color or in black and white?

Ive never had a dream in black and white. From what I can recall they have all been in color. I truly dont know what determines how you dream. I check on my dreams constantly online so if you really need an answer it try searching for it online. There is alot of good info on there.

I think it's somewhere online that I read about people dreaming in color or black and white. Now I'll have to go see if I can find out what determines what. Thanks for posting.

I dream in black and white. I am not sure we can dream in color. Sometimes it is just an image of no color actually.

I dream in color . I only know this because I can remember distinct dreams that I had when I was younger and can recall the colors of certain things . Also when I close my eyes , I see everything in color before I fall asleep . My husband says he only sees black as when he closes his eyes he says he sees nothing . I don't understand how he can not see all the colors when he closes his eyes but he cannot understand how I can see anything at all .

from what i have read ,technically, the brain only sees it in black and white but from a layman's point of view we say otherwise maybe because we see things in color and we associate things with it .our senses are functioning and hus place in our subconscious.so, when we dream we associate the sourroundings also by color and usually it means something that are of us.
