Do you go to the theaters or wait for the TV?

There's so many movies that I wanted to see in theaters but just didn't have the money for it. Lately I've found that waiting for them to show on TV is easier. Anyone else do this or do you prefer the theater more?

We mostly wait for tv. The main reason is because we have a 2 year old and there is no way she will go in there and behave lol. If its something we are so interested that we cant wait for tv we will find a setter and go see it, but that doesnt happen often.

I am in Karachi and here we dont have quality cinema houses. Only Pakistani and English films are shown here. I am fond of HIndi movies which are not showcased here. So i have to wait untill the film comes on DVD. Poor Me!

The movie theaters are way too expensive, then you have to deal with the noise of people talking, kids screaming, cell phones going off, people taking cell calls during the movie. I would rather watch it on tv at home and be comfortable.

I was so cheapskate, never goes to the theater unless someone treat me. Lately, my friends poisoned me with virus "must-go-to-theater". Result: I can't save any money to my bank account. Unbelievable. After that, I think I'll go, if only I have money plus the movie is so good.

I do like to go to the cinema as a treat, but I rarely go as I can't really justify the expense as watching it later on the TV is much cheaper.

Same for me...I usually can't afford to go to the movies and have the whole popcorn/candy soda combo.

When it's a really good movie we have no choice but to line up with the crowd and watch it in cinemas. But if one of my friends say that it's worth waiting because sometimes the crowds get too noisy then we just wait for the dvd and watch it at my home because we have a theater room here. I'm waiting for 300, the movie.

I bought a big screen TV and joined Netflix. If you go the movies now, it's $9.25 in Atlanta to see one. I have to really want to see something when it comes out for me to pay that to see it in the theatre. OR I can wait two months, rent it for $3 and see it with a houseful of friends and less expensive food. With prices like that, it's no wonder the movie industry is down on attendance (and they think the solution is to raise the price of admission?).

We usually wait until they're released on DVD and then rent or buy them. If it's a movie was just can't wait to see (which is rare) then we'll go to the theatre. I suspect the next movie I'll be seeing in the theatre will be Harry Potter and the Order of the Pheniox.

I always' wait till the movie comes out, so I can watch it in the comfort of my own home. The theater's cost to much and some people don't have the respect to be silent.

Usually we just wait until it's on TV - or on DVD these days. The cost of going to the movies just keeps going up and up and up and I refuse to pay $10 just for a popcorn and coke! More often than not unless we are going out with friends, cinema trips are now just for birthdays and special occasions [providing that something is good on to see!!]

I used to go to the cinema almost every week, but nowadays i normally use DVD more, or watch them on TV. Going to the movies has become a luxury here, if you sum up the ticket to the food it's a hell lot of money, and you can do the same at home at a way more reasonable price, and in the moment you decide. I still prefer the movies, with their huge screen, but the fact is that if they don't lower their prices a bit most people will stop going there.

Watching n theater is really expensive especially when you want to enjoy watching it with your friends and family. That is why, I seldom go to a movie house. I enjoy watching the latest and even old movies at the comfort of our home. We buy dvds of our favorite movies. There are alot of advantages watching at home aside from enjoying home cooked snacks and pastries, you can also assume any position that you wanted. At home, I can express my self. I can even shout when the scary part flashes on the screen and I can laugh out loud when the movie is really funny and I can even cry when its heavy drama. Waiting for the movie that you like to be shown in tv takes time, so, why don't you buy a dvd and enjoy a great movie at the comfort of your home? It would be a whole lot of fun!(",)
