Wow, you're going to open a whole can of worms. The bible teaches that God "created" the heavens and the earth. There are a lot of very religious people who don't believe in evolution. Personally, I believe the theory, but, you'll find lots of people don't.

This is the response to Ashby Camp's critique. In considering the credentials of the two protagonist, Camp comes out a very poor second place. http://tinyurl.com/se4rf

And here is Asby's response to that response: http://www.trueorigin.org/theobald1c.asp Since everything that Ashby says is confirmed by other ID scientists and Creationistscientists who have credential equal to or surpassing your guy, your point regarding credentials is just plain nonsense.

I don't know as the bible says anything about evolution, except to say that each species, and each plant produces offspring "according to its (own) kind" and "male and female created He them". Also the word used for day in the creation account, when God said "an evening and a morning a first day".. "..a second day.." etc, was "yom" which means a 24 hour day. There were other words available which meant an allegorical day. The only other thing I would think of is the flood, which sat upon the earth for a year and 40 days.. aging everything under it. Theories of origin are possibilities and hypotheses, because no one was there to actually observe, which is what science is "observation". That a certain belief or possibility is taught as proven fact, is actually a state enforced religion. Truth leads to well-being, untruth leads to dysfunction. Which direction is society moving? Our philosophy and world view determines that.. Mr Darwin thought there would be millions of transitional lifeforms, both living and fossilized, but almost 150 years later all we have is a handful of highly disputed ones.. Even evolutionists say about the Cambrian layer explosion of life is "it's like someone planted them". The precambrian layer is virtually empty. more info - http://www.inner-monastery.com/articles5/evolution.html

As far as I know, the Bible says nothing about evolution. This might have something to do with the fact that evolution is a theory that is only a few centuries old.

Absolutely nothing. It is only the various interpretations by individuals that take a stance one way or the other. Some Christians believe that intelligent design is not in conflict with evolution, and some others look at the same Bible and interpret it to mean the earth is very young and evolution is in conflict with the bible. Here is an article I wrote on my view of the Theory of Evolution http://www.helium.com/tm/223187 Draven the Respectful Atheist http://dravenwriter.blogspot.com

i think the bible says nothing about evolution and all about creation. i have not read the bible though. at this website http://www.gotquestions.org/creation-evolution.html it says this about the bible's view on creation: "It is not the purpose of this article to present a scientific argument in the Creation vs. evolution debate. If you are looking for scientific arguments for Creation and/or against evolution, we highly recommend Answers in Genesis - http://www.answersingenesis.org, and the Institute for Creation Research – http://www.icr.org. The purpose of this article is to explain why, according to the Bible, the Creation vs. Evolution debate even exists. Romans 1:25 declares, "They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator - who is forever praised. Amen."" i have not included the whole article. you can check it out and see if that answers your question about what the bible says about evolution.
