Whole life we spend on seeking public opinion for whatever we want to do. But there certain people who just dont care for public approval and opinion, they say "I am what I am". What kind of a person are you! What could be the reason for the person to live like that? Can you justify any of these two personalities? Personally, am mix of both at this point in time :)

I am what I am! Trying to do all the things that this life puts out there for you, you need not clutter your thinking of what others think. You are what matters. Now you do have to do some things to get along in this world. Also need know when to ignore hate spreaders and nay sayers. Of course those hate spreaders often can get themselveses jailed. Best relationships are those that allow for disagreement and support at the same time.

Are you meaning politics or just what other people thing of you? Politically yes, we need public opinion or we may as well live in a dictatorsip. As for what other folks think of me. I like to keep our good name in the community in good standing. I don't want to know as a cheat and a liar in our business circle. I would not want to be known as the mom that had 5 neglected children. For the rest I like to live and honest and moral life for myself. What I do affect others in some way. In my opinion it matters very much.

Politics, yes, asking the public opinion is a norm in democracy. But am more concerned about the individuals. People tend to know what others consent is on what we want to do. This way they keep asking public for whatever they want to do.
