Spoiling the Grandkids!

Isn't it fun spoiling the grandchildren! I'm loving every minute of it. I, too, had no grandfathers. They had both passed away when my parents were small children. My mother was estranged from her own mother all her adult life, so I never got to know her. My dad's mother, though, was the light of my early life. She always championed me, and although she didn't have much materially, she would have given me the shirt off her own back if I had asked her to. She lived with us until I was 11, because my mother worked. When she moved away, I was devastated and felt my life had come to an end. She lived in Georgia for about a year before moving back to Iowa, and I cried every day for that year. Without her I had no one in my corner.
