It is told that we should not pay too much attention towards the looks of a person, but frankly speaking, having a good look is itself an asset. It helps a lot to convince other people. Now when you meet a stranger, or a half-known person, is it looks or the quality of the person that matters most to you? Please share your feelings.

First I take into account into his/her looks. If they are really good looking, then they can escape with murder from me. Not really, but I am biased toward good looking people. If the looks are not that good, then I try to find good qualities in him/her. And if I find them to my liking, only then I make them close to me. See, even I, who says that being biased towards good looking people is not good, is biased! Because Good looks is an asset with which you can excape you from anything. Good looks are able to excuse you from many things, like if you accidentally knock down someone's flower pot, then they would smile at him/her and tell them to not mind, it was a lousy flower pot anyway. But if someone not so very fortunate with looks knock down, he/she may get a forced smile from the other in the whole of the dealings.

I feel that having good looks is a really good asset that one should really cherish, but not abuse. It is believed that the first impression we give upon others rely on the first few seconds of the meet up between two person. An appealing looking person would be more favoured in situations where we need short, or immediate decisions on choosing who is the better candidate for a partner, employee, business associate, friend, or even person to converse with. Well, I supposed that is the one step advantage a good looking person would have. However, the rest, or long term process ultimately looks upon the judgement of the character, traits, and personality of the person before we make real judgement. I would take looks as most important quality when we first meet a person. That is human nature, we love to look at good, beautiful, and appealing things, at least in our pespective for the first impression.

Being physically attractive helps to sell you more to other people. It's just human nature. The "average" looking person will have to exert more effort to get noticed. The physical beauty of a person may attract attention but it's what you can offer besides looks that'll make them stay. Unfortunately, most people will just settle for the good looks and just try to resist the bad attitude. In fact people who become fanatics to physically attractive people tend to see no flaws in them.

well i agree to ur point that look is an asset to good looking people but if they have only look and not quality then their look wont be seen........... i have experienced with people having good look but bad quality............. at the same time if someone has bad look and good quality then he will have many people liking him................ shortly speaking External appearance is not beauty..................

looks definitely makes a good and a lasting impression but ultimately it is the good qualities of a person that wins hearts of other people.
