Do relationships die?

Have you ever heard of the saying: "relationships are like plants, if you dont care for them they die." I was wondering if this is really true. My 3 best friends live in other countries. I haven's seen them in a few years. But we talk on msn almost like everyday. We are even better friends then we where before they left I think. Would we stop being such good friends if we didn't talk so much?

Communication is the best ingredient in any realtionship whether its for ur friends, families or bf or husband/wife . . . so to keep the relationship stronger, u should always communicate, just saying hi & hello's will be ok . . stopping the communication, it doesn't mean u can no longer be good friends, u can still be good friends but your relationship is not that strong anymore.

I do belive that friendships can survive longer than a "love-relationship". However I also think that if u didnĀ“t talk at all, or very sporadiclly for moths you would feel as if "the plant was dying.. it is impoortant to take care of your relations..

I don't believe that friendships have a potential to die. This is so because friendships are deep-rooted relationships. We maybe estranged from our good friends but the heart will always link us together. I have friends whom I haven't spoke to for almost ten years. I recently came across one friend and it seems that we have a lot of catching up to do. It was indeed a fun reunion.
