why is crying taboo in india?

well i firmly believe that crying releases pent up emotions that build up in the body. it is very natural. Now a days even our stars cry easily in films. So why the stigma?

There is nothing wrong with crying whether it is Male or Female. As far as I am concerned Crying is good for release of Emotions. So I do not know what the problem is with Crying .

It is part our our culture to balance the sorrowful events or incidents. Cinema heros are also reflects indian culture and they act like that. try to watch indian TV serials... you know how many ways of crying and make crying others.

It shows weakness. And in some cultures, weakness is not something they are allowed.
