second hand smoke

I was just wondering.. Are smokers really concerned about giving second hand smoke to others? I'm not saying that they are uncaring, but do they, just think of the person next to them? Are they conscious of the effects?

I think that people who smoke are more conscientious about exposing others to smoke these days, thanks to the media campaigns against smoking and second hand smoke. It's hard to judge just how concerned they are about others, though, because smoking is banned in just about any public place you go to now. So many of my friends have quit smoking now, and most of us don't allow smoking in our homes, so the smokers all go outside anyways.

I am a smoker and I always smoke outside when I am at someones house even if they say it is okay for me to smoke inside. The only time I do smoke inside is in my own house or if it is very cold outside and I can't do it anywhere but inside. But I always try to keep smoke away from no smokers.

My husband and his friends do. They take it outside. His niece didn't though and smoked beside me when I said I didn't smoke. Her husband was upset because at the time she was pregnant. I only went to her place once since then and her husband told us she smoked in the car and it's bad because they took the baby out now and then using the same car. She said she smoked when the baby was not there and the car window was open. I guess once a smoker stays a smoker.
