Well I am doing a colon cleanse, I was reading an article that was all about being tired, having dark circles under the eyes, achey muscles and just plain "old" feelings and they said that the poisons that we collect in the colon can cause these symptoms. I have never done it before so i went to the health food store and asked about it and found that they had a gentle cleanse that was a 15 day deal. 2 pills in the am, 2 in the pm plus some fiber pills in the pm. Total cost 36.00 canadian. I am in day 3, finding that my digestion is working "normal" (I was expecting something more extreme) and I am feeling ok excpet for a mild headache. THat by the way is normal too cause the toxins are leaving the colon and need to be reprocessed to leave the body. This cleans the kidneys, liver and colon. I will let you know how I feel after the 15 days are up.

So far our first experience is no heartburn at all, no acid reflux nothing. For us that is amazing. Headache is gone to day, and it was not even bad enough to take an asprin but it was there. We are drinking more water to help with the flushing out too so that may be another reason it is gone. Will keep you informed.

you might want to check the chemicals in that thing. You should never get a headache from a colon cleanse if there aren't dangerous chemicals in it. Its funny, but a few years ago, when people ate normally, nobody ever took colon cleanses, andwe all lived just fine. What's causing your symptoms is probably lack of good sleep, improper diet, and no exercise. So, you just paid $36 for some metamucil, and vitamins, and you could have achieved thasame results by eating bran and more raw veggies.

Good point, I agree with you but I take extra fiber supplements the days I know I have not eaten enough oats and other fibers, never paid $36 for fiber supplement, I get it for about $2 at Swanson.

Thanks for the response, I did go back and read the ingredients on the box and they are all natural, no chemicals. Herbs, roots, etc..... I have had a few people tell me that an over toxic body will produce a low grade headache if the toxins come out too fast. I cut the dose in half yesterday and the headache is gone. Just a note, I have had zero heart burn or acid reflux since I started and neither has my hubby. We are major stock holders of tums!!!!! so just this has made a huge difference in just a few days. We do eat a very healthy diet but actually work in a toxic envioroment so thus the necesasry step to go one further. This is not like taking a laxitive this is too improve the condition of the digestive system, clean the liver, kidneys as well as the colon. Thanks for your comments

i had a horrible experience with one of those cleanse kits. it was called Dr. Natura, and i ordered it from an info commercial.. i guess i didn't drink enough water, and it totally clogged me. i had to go to the emergency room and found i had a blockage. just be very careful.

This is very interesting to me....I just ordered from GNC a cleansing kit. I have been feeling bloated lately... I am very interested in knowing how it went for you. You posted 4 months ago, so how has it been? Do you have to do maintenance? Hope all is well
