Hi friends,23rd November is a special day as it is the birthday of Bhagawan Sri Satya Sai Baba. People know him for the many miracles done by him in the form of treating incurable diseases, miraculously rescueing people or materialising objects and Vibhuti the sacred ash which he distributes as his blessings. As per him, these miracles are only his visiting cards and they happen because of the love He has for his devotees. The greatest miracle of course is the change in character, which occurs amongst the people who have faith in him and follow his teachings. Affectionately addressed as Baba or Swami by his devotees,Bhagawan teaches the most profound truths in the simplest manner which can easily be followed by even a little child. Though the teachings are simple yet the effect on the practitioners is great. Baba lays the greatest stress on spiritual practices which commence with simple mantric bhajans, service or seva of the needy and depending on the taste and capacity of an individual Baba leads the practitioner in all the truths taught in the Vedas. And those who have had the good fortune of going under his shelter have benefitted not only spiritually but in the material world as well, because he is remover of obstacles and the bestower of boons.
