is response counting is right on my lot?

i think response counting is wrong or may be someproblem with my lot cause i always see my mails responded from most readers while it never increase in number with my respoded post,i think there is really something wrong,im really feeling dizzy for this.

The number of points is given in the brackets
after our user name . At present it is 24
for you . This increases when we respond
to others discussions . This does not increase
for our responses to our own discussions .
And this points may decrease if Mylot staff
deletes any topics in which we have posted .
