Nagalim is situated between India, China and Burma. The part of Nagalim ruled by India consists of territory which today is administered by four administrative units, the state of Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagalim and Manipur.
The Nagas believe in one supreme being. The Nagas are brave, honest, industrious, humorous, self reliant, tolerant, and above all, a God fearing People.

I always knew that Nagas are brave and fierce warriors and always had respect for their courage and bravery!
By the way I just had a question. Are Nagas not happy to be a part of India and do they want a seperate nation or are they happy to be a part of India!

Differences of opinion is there among the Nagas. Some prefer this way, others want a separate nation. However, I can say with great certainty that all Nagas want a unified Nagaland i.e all Naga areas to come under one administrative unit. Nagas do not want to be scattered here and there. I think if the Govt of India is willing to take take this up and make it a reality those who favour separate nation may also be willing to lay down arms and join India union. But Meeteis are not happy with that. I need Nagas and Meeteis need to sort this out.

Hmmm! I understand, but unifying all Naga areas means to get some parts from neighbouring country Myanmmar into India! That is the hard part! But is that the only reason that some Nagas don't want to be a part of India! Or is there some other reason behind it! Nagaland being a part of India makes us feel really proud! Politicians have ruined relationships between different people but why does that lead to normal civilians suffering! So I just want to know that what is the main reason behind many Nagas asking for a separate nation?!

I think the main reason is identity. But I don't think the argument can be sustained for long cos identity of any community changes over time as it interacts with the outside world. Whether we like or not, Nagas will never remain static. For example, Nagas forefathers' characteristics like headhunting, worshipping nature, etc have ceased to exist. Rather we have acquired new characteristics. But I also think that unified Nagalim need not include Nagas of Myanmar, as of now. That need not be a headache for India. I just feel that if Nagas in India are unified then things may cool down.
