VideoConferencing for trails?

Should all the jails / prisons throughout the world be provided video conferencing facility to help enable trails and reduce the other cost & risks involved?
Would it be beneficial?

I think video conferencing is not only a good cost saving measure, I think it reduces the trauma of victims of such heinous crimes like especially for those criminals who prey on young innocent children. This is definitely a good suggestion worth considering and taking up eventually.

That was well said. But can we create a hassle free always accessable link, when required. In most parts of the world the infrastructure is very inferior.
