my computer reports...CMOS checksum bad.

but i can log into it by ignoring that message.whats wrong with my comp?what might be the prob??pplzz help me.

Is the PC asking u to bypass the error by pressing any key..?? Also please tell me if the date and time are ok when u get to the desktop.... If these are the symptoms u can try replacing the CMOS battery....

i used to skip the message by pressing F4 and exiting the setup without doing anything.now i ve installed windows again and the message isnt coming now.what cud be the reason for that message?why isnt it coming now?

I think you should change your CMOS battery, or you can check the BIOS Setup may be you have to set up the date and year on your computer.
