i think the zoological name of a cat is "felis domesticus". so you should name her 'felis'.it sounds good too!

Is it a he or she? You could choose a human name that is easy to say in your language. Often a short form of a human name could be practical. Your friends may have some ideas.

Colour is normally a good way to name the cat. Favourite or famous people is another way. After something or someone famous in a book you enjoyed. Artist, Writer, Colour of Cat, Cats behaviour, Cats looks, where you found him/her, w here you live, what he/she likes to eat. Example black and white Sylvester! Ginger colouring = Ginger Good luck!

I usually wait until they are a little older than brand new, observe them for a while and decide on a name that seems to fit their personality. I have one named Tinker Belle. She is named that because, at about three months old, she would flit around the house jumping and "flying" until she decided to stop. It reminded me of Tinkerbelle on Peter Pan, thus her name. We have one that is a prissy little female. She walks around like she is too good for anyone else. Her name is Fluffy. We inherited one so she was already named Billie, we just stayed with that one. Some of my friends name their animals after family members. I have an aunt who has an Alta. She is named after my aunt's great grandmother. She named one Martha, after Martha Stuart, just to agrivate my uncle. But the name seems to fit. Martha is a nester. Good luck!

Hi there...consider watching your cat and see if it's personality brings some ideas to mind. Some people are inspired to name their cats after famous characters, poets, artists, places, things, etc. You could use a variation of miniou which in itself is a unique name
