I am an Avon representative. I have a pretty good customer base. I also get Avon reps. started and I got one started that was suppose to start taking care of the strip club that I use to sale at. It is in the next town over and I figured after gas I was only making 15% of my profit, plus everytime someone ordered and they knew what time I would be there and what day to deliver and collect new orders, I would have to sit there for hours to collect my money, or have to come back another night because they didn't show up for work that day, so I figured why not give it to another rep in my downline that lives there and still make 15%. Anyways you would think that since the rep I got started also is one of the owners of the bar, she would be able to get in an order for her girls. Nope I got a phone call begging me to come in because they are about out of supplies.
On the plus side that 15% was $300. every two weeks, and my kid has been sick and that income coming back will be nice.
So do you think it is worth having to spend time away from for your family for just $600.00 a month with all the hassle that comes with it?

I agree with the first post. Make some in stone rules. They will follow them it may take some time for them to adjust but they will get the picture.
As for being away from your family for $600 a month I say yes it is worth it, even you didn't need the money you wouldn't go there in the first place. Plus it isn't like you are away for days at time just a few hours. I do home parties and craft shows so I too leave my family every so often to make money to help with the budget.

Time is your precious commodity that you sell to make money. You have decided that the time spent is worth the money you make so it is not a real problem for you. It is good to provide for your family just up to you to choose what is best for all. I would get paid in advance for orders and then you wouldnt have to wait. That should save you time.

You're not spending that much time away from your family, and you're really close-knit when you're together. I think that your kids are thriving under you!

Would be great if you could set up a one time a week stop at their place. If I lived near you I would service that account for you. Avon makes good products and am glad that the ladies there are customers. A once a week situation would help you greatly. Even every other week would be a good alternative. This would not be my only job. So good luck with this and am hoping you child improves greatly!!
