I only purchas things for my children, I spend about $20. on each of them.
I believe if it comes from the heart, it does not have to cost a lot.
Something simple, a card with a heart felt message and maybe a small gift to go with it.

Valentine's day is a day of thought and to show your loved one how much you love him or her. All it takes is flowers and a dinner, and that shouldn't cost too much. That's all you need to do, unless you want to spend more.
