do you beleive in occult science

recently one of my friends has just gone berserk on his relative as he beived that he has done occult on him, I am a non beleiver in occult and was really surprised on my friend reaction. I think he is doing more harm to himself than the other person as this suspicion is not allowing him mental piece. so do you really think is occult science really exists. does any one has any experience.
