are call center people innately talkative?

if you're working in a call center, does it mean that you're talkative, noisy, or bubbly?

I don't think being a call center agent have something to do with being talkative. There are some agent that is not talkative.

Well, i'm just wondering. Because when you say call center, i picture it as a very busy office with employees always busy talking to their customers. Talk, talk and talk!

i used to work in a call center. although i have always liked to make people laugh, like to gab a lot, and well, talkative, noisy and bubbly, not all, not even most of my officemates were the same. it can help, but it sure is not a qualification.

Oh ok. So you mean being talkative is really not a qualification to work in a call canter. Are you saying that it still depends on the person's attitude? May i know what are these qualifications?

i disagree.They need to talk lots in their position.A good player will listen at first and then giving the response to your question,solving it.If they are talkative,noisy or bubbly,seems they are not eligible.

Not at all. In most cases, it simply means that someone took a job they needed. I'm far from bubbly or noisy, although most who know me would call me talkative. I'm a loner, quite withdrawn in most cases, yet I've worked at call centers. The fact of the matter is that call centers hire with little to no experience, and pay decent salaries. They often hire in mass numbers, so they have plenty of openings. In an economy like we have now, a job is a job and a paycheque is a paycheque.

Oh, so you're from the call center. Well i'm just wondering that's why i ask this question. Because you know i met a lot of people who works in the call center and they are really talkative. I think there are only few wh are not. Thank you for responsing.

I don't think so. You talk to a customer on the phone to sell not to have a conversation.
