Best sci-fi and horror movies

OK, ther's a lot of us out there that watch sci-fi and horror movies. Some are great and others deserve a thumbs down. One of my personal favorites in movies is Stephen King's "Storm of the Century". As for sci-fi the old Twilight Zone episodes are great. I don't go for the gory movies though. Can anyone recommend good sci-fi and horror movies without the gore?
