Both are real masters but i still will vote for Jimi Hendrix

Hi debzonline. I would have to give Jimi Hendrix a definite advantage over Eddie Van Halen. I like both but hendrix changed the face of guitar playing in way that I am even sure he is on the list of Eddie's list of inspirational guitarists.

It is difficult to compare these two. They both had their great moments in two different time eras, both of their music are different, & even their styles are very different. Jimi Hendrix was a pioneer in that he was one of the first in hard rock / heavy metal. I'm sure that if Eddie Van Halen listed all his influences, Jimi Hendrix would be on that list. Only way to find out who is really better is for Eddie to try doing everything Jimi has done, & if Jimi was still alive today, have him try to do everything that Eddie has done.
