Do you put your shopping cart away?

I was thinking of this the other night because it was pretty late, dark, and cold outside. I had my daughter with me and I didn't feel safe walking away with her in the car and it running so I left my cart there, not blocking the space but to the side of it. I felt kind of guilty since I normally would put it up. What do you think, do you put yours up in the little slots or do you leave it out in the parking lot?

If there are loads of other trollies in the car park I just leave mine with them. Although it does depend on which shop it is. If I have to put a coin in the trolley, I always return it to get my coin back, and I also look around to see if there are any others to put back so I can get the money off those as well.
