Just noticed Mylot has changed the format of the pages somewhat-- a whole list of options on the left column under 'discussions' you can search not just Web and Mylot, but discussions, photos, and messages (but still not users) What do you think of the changes?

I find the addition of discussion links to the left a very useful one, because I no longer have to keep turning the page to select a different category. The alteration of the page width does not please me at all. I use a resolution of 800 X 600 pixels, so now I have to sroll the page when reading or writing. I have encountered a few hiccups already, and several "error on page" reports, although this can be expected and I presume that it will be eradicated shortly.

I have a 19 inch flat screen monitor but still run at 800 X 600. I see very little point in buying a large monitor and resetting it to make the images smaller. There is no way that I am going to change to 1024 X 768, not even for Mylot.

I HATE that Mylot has jumped on the widescreen page bandwagon. I already have to scroll side to side to see an entire Web page. Are these Web sites in cahoots with the PC monitor makers to sell more widescreen flat-panel monitors?!

Let's see, at about a penny per response, how long would it take till I saved up enough to buy a bigger monitor... (my current monitor is a very old 15-inch model)

That 'Mylot' print really jumps out at you! And now the search bar is in a more conveniant place, I'm sure their searches will only increase as it keeps catching my eye....it's all a bit strange at the moment, but I'm sure I'll come round in time..:)

It's weird, my screen is normal sized now but before the changes sometimes it would go to the wider screen, it was just random! And you're right, you definitely WON'T forget that you're on mylot, though it's not like I ever forgot before..:)

Mylot has taken over your computer. Resistance is futile. It will take over our minds shortly. You will constantly think about Coke and Pepsi, and see eBay listings in your dreams.

It's friggin' huge! You certainly won't have any problem remembering what Web site you're at... I don't like the widescreen format though...I have to keep scrolling back and forth a bit to see the left and right sides of the page. Grrrr....

as we are much used to the older version.,moving the mouse in the left hand side for all is somewhat difficult for me.but i think it will become familiar after a day or two.

Yes, all the options are on the left hand side... maybe the Mylot founders are left-handed, so their mouses are already to the left of their keyboards? ;-)

I love the new page changes. For one, they're more functional for me. Second, it fixed my image problem--now all the images are showing up again!

I like having the options for discussions on all on the left-hand column.

I like the changes, I think it is much easier to access everything now. Searching is easier and better.

If you are trying to trace a user whose name you know then you will find their profile page at: http://www.mylot.com/username, where username is substituted by that of the member you are looking for. if you are simply referring to a general search, I do not see how that would be of any use because the member's name would mean nothing to you.

I wish they'd add a search for users... there's still no way to do that.

The layout looks far more better than before, in my opinion. It's more intuitive than it used to be. I especially like the menu now, before I didn't know immediatly where to look for the right menu. Now it's very easy. Nice done :)

I wish I could see my point total by my name, they've taken that off for some reason.

I hope they'll keep adding stuff to improve the site.

I hope this isn't the final version because it's a mess. I have to scroll from side to side, the number of my posts is missing, and there's no real benefit to the changes.

That friggin' side-to-side scrolling is going to slow down my commenting! If Mylot was going to buy me a 30-inch monitor, I'd be OK with it. ;-)
