California: Burglers put dog in womans freezer

I was watching the Fox 11 California news the other day and they were talking about these burglers broke into this womans house and did a whole bunch of damage. They peed all over her clothes in her closet, trashed her house and put her dog in the freezer. This woman is pregnant with twins and her husband is in Afghanistan. Could you imagine how she felt when she got home and found all of this? She called the cops and the woman cop said something told her to check the freezer and there was her little dog sitting there shivering. They said if he would have been in there longer he would have froze to death. They found him just in time. I can't spell the breed of the dog but it's a well known breed. Chiwaawaa. That's how I pronounce it but I can't spell it, lol. I was literally sick when I heard this because that poor dog could have died. And that poor woman getting her clothes peed on, that's sick. I couldn't imagine if this would happen to me. Anyone else here about this?

What the heck is wrong with people? What is the point of ruining someone's home and torturing their dog? I can't understand it. The breed of dog is spelled Chihuahua I believe. They are very sweet. I can't imagine someone being so cruel. I hope they catch the vandals!

There are so many sick people in this world it makes me sick to even watch the news anymore. Thanks for helping me with the spelling. I can usually spell better but not that word.
I don't remember what they said about catching them or not but I hope they do. I will update you if I hear anymore. Right now our Directv is out because of the weather so I can't watch the news.

You get an A in spelling! lol They are so little, they would freeze in a hurry! The punishment for that should be to put THEM in a freezer for the same amount of time!

That is just thoroughly disgusting ! The poor woman ! If they find the kids that did it , they sure have to do the clean up, or else pay for it to be done. And then give them plenty of community service as well to keep them out of mischief .

Yes but I think they should get more than community service. I think community service is nothing more than a slap on the wrist and I don't think they learn from it. It is just horrible that these things happen.

Sometimes you hear things like this and wonder what goes through peoples heads. I do remember a story about some kids that broke into someone's house, trashed it then microwaved their fish. Anyone that would harm and animal like that, with pure intent, deserves to get beaten in public. Someone once said, "an eye for an eye and everyone goes blind" but animals are, basically, harmless to people. I'd get on the topic of pitbulls but that's another post :]

I don't understand it either. People are just so sick and I get sick when I hear these things. Sometimes I don't even want to watch the news because this is all you hear about. Either animal cruelty or child abuse or murder. There is so much evil in the world and it is so sad that people can do things like this and not feel any remorse whatsoever about the things they do. I just wonder how they sleep at night but I guess if you don't have a conscience you don't have any problems sleeping after doing these things.

It is definately a sick thing to do and morally wrong. I mean it is bad enough that they broke in but going to the extreme of urinating all over her clothes an not too mention putting a helpless little chiwawa in a freezer to die makes it so much worse.

Yes it is sick and there are a lot of people in this world like this. They find it funny to hurt a defenseless little animal and I get so mad when I hear about this. And with the woman being pregnant and her husband away in Afghanistan must have made it that much harder for her to deal with this alone. I feel really bad for her.

People are very sick and ignorant these days. I see so many things on t.v lately about animal cruelty and child abuse it makes me sick. Yes that dog will be traumatized now. I feel so bad for the dog and the woman. I can't remember if they said they caught the people but I hope they did. Somebody ought to put them in a freezer and pee all over their clothes and see if they like it.

People are sick. I don't really understand why they would put a poor little defenseless dog in a freezer. But you see so much animal cruelty all the time. Like those boys who put the little puppy in the oven. I think people like that should go to jail for a very long time.

I can't stand it when people are cruel to animals. When you check out that link, you can see my two "daughters" in the pictures for the interest. They are both black dogs. I think my little girl is still the avatar for the interest. When I look at them, I wonder how anyone could possibly want to hurt them. They are so sweet and innocent.

Oh my gosh. Besides the dog being put in the freezer that is the worst thing I have heard so far. That literally made my stomach turn and brought tears to my eyes. What is wrong with people? I just can't understand what makes people turn so evil. I wish I could buy a bunch of animal shelters and take all the stray homeless and abused animals in and take care of them. They need so much love and all people like this can do is harm them like they're nothing. I was watching something on a movie one time where this guy said that animals don't have souls. How could they not have souls? Sometimes their souls and hearts are better than ours. I want to crawl in these people's heads and find out what makes them act like this and fix it because this is just horrible! I'm sorry about babbling but it just makes me so mad and upset that I could just scream!!

Wouldn't be nice to catch these creeps and lock them in a freezer for a couple of minutes.
I just don't know what is wrong with people.
I hope they find them.
People like that would have no problem torturing a person.

Yes they do need to be locked away in a freezer just like they did to this poor dog. I haven't heard anything else about it so I'm not sure if they caught them or not. I just think it is terrible that people do these kind of things. Thanks for responding. :)
