Relationship is the first obstacle in the path of creativity.

While I understand where you are coming from initially, I would have to disagree...personally, I think some of the most inspired works come from those who have a strong relationship with the subject of their creation; after all, their intimate connection and knowledge of the subject can only lead to a deeper insight in their work. While it is true that the initial stages of a relationship can appear to hinder creativity (as the person's mind is absorbed with but the subject of their desire an not else), I feel that truly creative, truly passionate works cannot be created unless the creator has a personal, intimate relationship with the subject matter at hand.
