OMG--- Today I spent 2 and a half hours standing in line about 75 people back at a Mall to see Drake Bell.. Drake Bell is from Drake & Josh on Nick tv... We didn't have this planned but a friend called me and told me he would be there at 5PM.. So we drove an hour got there at 2pm and got in line-- It wasn't bad enough that we waited in line-- but when 5 finally rolled around there were close to 2500 people there-- Waiting- Talk about alot of screaming girls! I'm deaf! So when the mini concert started I was so hot! I had all these kids rush me to see Drake. lol -- I thought I would pass out- He sang 4 songs! and then said he was done- We spent $12 on his cd.. and $20 on a t-shirt.. and then waited another 30 mintues in line for his autograph- All in all he was a pretty nice boy-- when he was singing our 3rd cd.. He smiled up at me and said you look hot- You should have came up here and sat where I am-- Its pretty cool- LOL Good kid-- Was it worth it?? Heck yes to see my daughters face as Drake chit chatted with us... I'd stand in line for 10 hours (Well maybe-- lol) What crazy things do you do for your kids fun??

My son is 30 now, but I have stood in line to see several of the Pittsburgh steelers. His first exposure was when he was 18 months old and had his picture taken with Franco Harris. One time he wanted to see Sha NA Na, we had an opportuinity to get into the back stage party. We had a lot of fun got pictures with Bowser and most of the group. They were all a lot of fun. It was worth it for his enjoyment.

Oh, my it sounds like you had a wild time. I wish I could of seen him. He is one of my favorite actors. I have taken my kid sto go see alligators and crodiles. I even touched and held one to get my 8 yr old to do it. Since he just loves the scaley creatures.

LOL, I did this too once. Two of the characters from a show my daughter watches. We too spent the entire day at the mall and didn't even really get close to the actress and actor. But my daughter had so much fun it was definitely worth standing there all day. She got a ton of pictures and talked about nothing else for the next three days.

Isn't it great to make your daughters day! We were lucky enough to get an autograph from Drake-- Actually 3 of them- It was nice for my daughter to see that he is a real live nice person-- Not just some character on a tv show-- and now a singer! thanks for your comment!

My son played Travel hockey, 2 1/2 hours standing in line in a warm place would be wonderful. The usual travel hockey weekend consisted of about 4-6 hours of driving and then 3 hours in a cold place several times a weekend for a game. A tournament would mean up to 8 hours of driving, 3 or 4 nights in a hotel and 10-20 hours in an ice rink. Then there were skating clinics - 4 hours driving a day for 5 days then 8 hours at the rink. This was fun for him, he lived for hockey when he was young. That was his fun. He did not know TV characters.

That sounds like not Fun-- lol Over the summers we do softball leagues and tournaments- Its 90 or hotter and we start at 8 in the morning- Only drive for an hour-- play 1 game-- wait for another hour- play another-- wait again- and play again- Usually ends about 5ish-- So I know what you're talking about- We parents do alot for our kids in sports!

What a great mom you are for enduring that for your daughter. She will remember that one for a long, long time. I can't remember doing anthing that cool for my kids. I was an old fuddy duddy. The closest thing I came to it was giving my sister $15 for a t-shirt of a group that she went to see in concert. $15 was a lot of money to spend on a t-shirt back in the 80's. My daughter wore the t-shirt to school that following week and she was quite popular. Nobody else had a t-shirt like it.

My girls love Drake. We have taken them to see The Wiggles & a number of different Disney on Ice things. I am not sure how far I would be willing to go though, it is freezing here lol. What a good parent you are though :)

Nice my girls would have acted the same way. I think the closest thing to this for me would have to have been when we waited 3 hours to see of all people Elmo.
