In many cultures, it is custom to name a child after a relative, living or dead. While some others will name a child after a loved one. Question is, who were you named after?
I know my middle name is after a great grandmother. my first name was in honor of my father, who was alive at the time, which is not done at all in my culture.

My mom loved the actress Stephanie Powers and she named me after her character Jennifer Hart on the show Hart to Hart.

I was named after my godfather who was also the priest that baptized me. Funny thing is that he's not a priest anymore. He seduced all 3 of my godmothers (can you believe that!) who were also sisters before finally settling in with one of them. I have never met him in my life and heard that he is a lawyer now lol

I was not named after anybody sadly. This is how wonderful my parents were. The story goes ....just weeks before I was born, they still hadnt decided on a name. Well, they were at a bar one night drinking (yes I said drinking, which explains alot about myself lol) and decided to pass around a hat for people to put name suggestions in. Well they drew one and that was supposed to be my name. Seeing as how they were convinced I was a boy (not the case) the name was Anthony. Having little imagination, or simply for lack of caring it was changed to the female version...Toni. Boy do I feel loved everytime I tell that story!
