Have you lost your remote control lately? Does it drive you nuts, when you can't find it? I have wondered why TV makers don't put a button on the front of the TV that makes the remote beep for 30 seconds so that you can find it. I have seen a wireless phone that did that. TV makers are stupid for not adding this function that drives nearly everyone of us mad. Would you get rid of your current TV for a remote finding version?

Yeah , i lost a remote before and it does drive me crazy . It took me hours just to find the remote, It is a good idea to make the remote beep. I wonder why people that in the TV business didn't come out with this function. If I were in the TV business I will put this idea into good use.

I don't believe it would cost much to put into a television. They just don't have any foresight. But what's worse is, cordless phones have been doing this for a while, and no-one has thought of putting the same thing into the TV. I had a car key finder that used to beep when I whistled, but I got rid of it because it would go off all the time when women or children were nearby, with their high pitched voices.

I hear what you are saying, but I think about, if they are putting them into other devices, why take it out or leave it out on purpose. I am just waiting to hear if there are in fact any TV's made with a beeping remote. There must be some on the planet somewhere. It's just too silly for there not to be. You know the dream model TV with everything you would want in a TV. One of those should have a beeping remote.

Maybe is the weight of importance of the item. If you lose a key you cannot open car or start the car and if you lose a cordless phone you cannot answer the phone or make call. But if you lost a remote you can still watch tv with out having a remote. you can change the channel and turn up the volume with out it.

What about one that will beep for 20 seconds if it can't see the TV?

My son takes the remote and hides it all the time. It's a game we play, but when I can't find it, it drives me nuts. That's a good idea-- like the find headset button for cordless phones. I wouldn't get rid of my televisions and replace them with TVs that have that function, but if I was in need of a new television I would definitely consider it!

Hello, thanks for your comments. I would probably be like you and hang onto my old TV until I was going to buy a new one, but go batty every now and then until I did.
