I dont think that its an issue of greed. As you get older more things get paid off, your car, your house and you would be able to go out and purchase a mobile etc...My husband and myself we will be able to afford a lot more than we can now because of the high cost of raising four children. We also have a really good retirement savings plan.

i think that people who are greedy in their younger years generally become more greedy as they age. I think that humans are eternal beings, and what happens is that as we age, we make decisions that become more and more ingrained behaviour. That is why it is so important to train children the right from the wrong. Each decision either reinforces or else tears down a decision we made long ago. Take someone who's been choosing greed for fifty or sixty years and the pattern is so ingrained as to be overcome only by an enormous expenditure of energy and willpower. Most don't even try, or, trying, find it far less work to simply follow the pattern that they have previously established.

It is true that when people are children, then often a toy will suffice but as they get older they do want bigger and better toys. Once they start working they want that little bit more but if they have been in the workforce it is only natural that they want a little more. I don't think that it is greed to want a house of your own as well as a car to get around, because not everywhere has public transport for people to use. Also a mobile phone and computer do allow some people to keep in touch. If a person works hard, earns money and then decided to buy a home for his family as well as a car and other things, then that is his right. If they manage to achieve it then they deserve congratulations because when they get is as a direct result of their own efforts. I do not dispute that people who are poor can be happy, but at the same time if these so called poor people had a chance to obtain more things, then often they will get the things that they want. Money does not make a person greedy in most cases, and just because someone has some assets it does not follow that they only have them because they are greedy.

I think it has something to do with more education they have, they are more than likely to want more and better things for themselves.

The older you get the more you see in the world and the more you see is out there to get. You dont want to be content with the old things you saw and know you want to get higher in status and move up in the world so you want all the nicest things.

Thats just how it is in this crazy world. They know it takes them along time to save up money and they are not working so they get angry with people. I pay no attention to this behavior.

Everyone has different greed. When he work out his wishes, then he will have a new and higher level greed.I think it is good because if human beings don't have greed any more then they will lose their directions, they even don't know what the life is,why they live in this world, and so on.So I think the greed is also an important role in our life.

Well I don't know if I would agree to all of this ,I think as kids we want things and they aren't of course a house but a toy smaller things,as we get older we have bigger needs like a house, cell phones, computers and the like ,just because we want these things doesn't mean we are greedy ...as adults we just have to learn to save to buy the things we want... I don't feel like I am a greedy person I am not trying to keep up with the "Joneses" ...

The more you have...the more you want. I am not sure who said that but it is true. I don't think it is always greed that drives us either. I think society demands more, more, more. I think we see with our own eyes often enough that money means attractiveness and position and respect. I don't believe it is right, but it is there, a fact of life in these times. If little boy has a puppy, his buddy wants one too. If the boss is driving a bmw, the employee wants one too. It doesn't buy happiness, but we don't really believe that until we get there. How many times have you said "I wish I had..."? No greed there, just truly wished you had something you do not.

Humans are naturally greedy. It's in our blood. We become more greedy as we get older because we become more aware of the importance of wealth. Some may not be greedy for themselves; they become greedy for their spouses and children. They would think about the future for them and start thinking for more money.. :(
