I used to hate that question when I was younger. But not so much now. I want to work with teenagers and I have just started one website geered toward teens and young adults. In ten years I hop to have severl successful websites like that and maybe a club house opened up near my neighborhood just for teenagers. Old enough to know better too young to care.

In 10 years, I hope to be retired. We would like to be somewhere warm too!! I hope to be able to survive on my retirement as well as little jobs on the side. We would like to be cruising the USA in a larger boat too!! I've worked at my job 19 years already. I'm ready to try something different, but need to hold out for retirement. I'd also like to help out at an abusive woman's shelter, as I'm a victim of abuse (divorced him 7 years ago!) and it would be my way to give back. Although I didn't use a shelter myself, I think I could be an inspiration to some. :-)

I had no idea you posted this discussion already, or I wouldn't have posted mine. Oops! This is a common question for job interviews these days...
For me, I probably have to keep this to myself in an interview, but my husband and I are going to start a farm, and in ten years, we hope to have quit out day jobs, and be making a living off the farm. We are planning on setting it up so that we can feed ourselves almost exclusively from the farm, and have a small community of other low-scale farmers that we trade goods with. If we go solar and wind power, we won't need to make much money. As long as we can eat and provide a nice home for our kids, we don't need to be rich!

Hopefully before 10 years is up I am back into my house rebuild from the housefire. I will be market gardening and selling through flea markets and farm markets. That along with the acquiring of my animals for meat, eggs and fiber. Quite doable if things just somewhow fall into place and allow me to work toward that goal.

In ten years my older boy should be getting ready to enter university, the second getting ready to follow. The third will be ten and the fourth ( I am not sure how old)
During this time I want to:
1. Get my pilot's license
2. Complete my Bachelor's degree
3. Be a staunch, supportive and a beacon of love and example for the kids.
4. Support my partner in his aspirations and be there for him, as he is always for me.
5. Keep the family together as a loving, mutually supportive unit.
6. Do one community project (not sure yet what I can resource now) that will involve the children enough to cement in them the value of service before self.
Thats all! Cheers and good luck with your project to help teens. Mine will be teens in that timeframe.
