Yesterday i paid a visit to an orphanage. It was a very good experience.Ireally felt bad when i found small kids doing all their work with no mum or dad to scold them or love them.I still remember those smart kids with cute smiles. We are realy lucky to have parents around us to guide us and give us love. What do you think about it???

Yeah, we are. I follow this to keep myself cool. Whenever I am down, I think of such people and children and I get relieved. And you get a heart to help them out. I can't figure out how god can be so cruel to some and so kind to others. But we can't help it. The world is like that.

i totally agree. if it wasnt for my dad, my brother would have drowned in the undertow at the beach about 5 years back. plus they help me with my homework, take us bowling, fishing and other fun places, and all around love us. i love my parents very much and they mean a lot to me too. if it werent for my parents i think i would probably have little to no success in my future.

I totally agree with you. Some of us are just lucky to have people like that in our lives, while others don't. I am happy that you did that for them. I'm sure that they appreciated that very much.

Yes, orphans are really most unlucky humans in this world. We need to support them :)

You are right, I think many people take things for granted. We should be happy that we have a home and family to love.

Absolutely...thts really touching...yes whn i think of an orphanage, & th kinda life those unlucky chaps hav to pass/endure, i thnk my destiny tht i hav a parent, who loves me 4 th way i am, scolds me at my mistakes, guides e whn i m in a fix,...enlightens me th pure knwldge of their wisdom ...yes they r simply one of the few most importnt things in my life....I do not know hw these poor guys feel whout parent, may b they do not knw, hw is it to hv a loving parents..so they dnt miss them much...may b it has a price to pay 4, in their developments....no idea really..but really a good topic to tke up...i congratulate u my fren...

Yes, you are right. To those who have parents to guide them and home to live in are very lucky. But I would like to emphasize that not all orphans are unlucky. Yes, it is sad not having parents and a home to live in. But I'd rather be in that situation than having a home with parents who constantly beats you. You know child abuse are not so new to us. So somehow orphans are still lucky than those who are sufferring inside their home with the hands of their own parents.

i agree with you about our luck with us having parents to love and guide us but these kids in the orphanage will be even luckier one day because they won't only one day get a family that loves them but there family will be able to say that they made them with their heart not with their bodies.

Hi cuterat...just like you, I also paid a visit to an orphanage in our city. I posted a discussion similar to yours; I only read yours after posting. Well, my heart went with the children who were really delighted to see us. I was there with my student leaders as part of their leadership training and exposure. We prayed with the children, danced with them, cuddled them, told stories, ate with them. One child is physically and mentally abnormal because she was left in a mall's trash can where she was barely alive; it's good that a priest pledged to help street children who are abandoned by their parents. It's a joy to see these children respond positively to our presence. Behind every child is a traumatic story to tell. We pledged to visit them more often, or when our resources allow. I'm also praying that more Good Samaritans will be touched by these children who need to survive and go to school. Thanks that we share the same heart and mind for these poor ones whose only fault is that their parents did not care for them.
