I have actually done this a few years ago as I was sick of just picking bits out to read. I did skip a few begat pages in the old testament though.

When I was in college, I read th Bible cover to cover just like you said. Even I am a Muslim, I enjoy reading it and sometimes make some notes about the passages. For I am such a bookworm, i do not mind to read and to study the holly book of other religion. It enriched my knowledge. But I missed reading or watching Da Vinci Code... may be some other time.

I think so too... reading verses when we feel like it may turn to be a habit that we may eventually be able to read the Bible from cover to cover without realizing it.

I read it from cover to cover twice, but I don't know what I have accomplished so far. lol Just love reading it, happy and surprised that I could read it. I'm not fond of reading any thick book, btw.

Read the Bible from cover to cover more than once. It is great to be able to know God's overarching purpose for His creation. Revelation makes it sure that you are not heading towards meaninglessness and a mute point, but towards new heaven and new earth.

During my elementary years it was one of our assignment to read the holy scripture chapter by chapter. I can say in that early age I can't really determine how was the words written in that book can do something in my life as I grew up. I start to read the first Chapter then it came to appoint that I can't sleep without opening the holy bible even our assignment was over. I can say that the holy bible really made me a god fearing individual and leads me to the right path and with my strong belief in the teachings and lessons of the holy bible, any problem that will cross along my way no matter how big or small it will be I can surely overcome it.

Wow!!! Honestly speaking, I just know something about the Holy Scriptures, becasue of the Bible Story Books that my grandfather used to buy when we were still kids. Thanks for sharing. I never thought Bible reading could be a habit too.

I am a christian but I am not devoted to my religion. I sleep a lot, play a lot, and go to office a lot, and also spend time with my wife and kids. Reading the Holy Bible from cover to cover is never an issue. This Book is a reference book, when you are confused, you glance a page and precisely that page is the right page for your inquiry. You read it and understand what it said, and apply it in your life - and things will begin to picture. And you will come to realize that every bits life has it's valuable meaning and should not be wasted.
